  1. User authentication, authorization and administration

In this section you will find all the information you need to:

    1. Register IO for use of the Stellantis RMI system

You must have a VAT number and work in a business area related to automotive repair (directly or indirectly) to register an Independent Operator (Company) on the Stellantis RMI system.
A Company can be registered only once, it but can have multiple Sites (physical address) and multiple users per Site, managed as indicated in section 1.2. Register IO employee for use of the Stellantis RMI system.

Some types of users are naturally VAT-free, such as National Authorities. These users are registered as secondary users of Stellantis Europe S.p.A., managed as indicated in section 1.2. Register IO employee for use of the Stellantis RMI system.

The registration process varies depending on the user's situation.

      1. New IO

During the registration process, you will be required to provide documentation (in PDF format) demonstrating that your Company's business aligns with the chosen profile and that you are authorized to represent it.
You will also need to specify the type of activities your Company engages in.

        6. Click on the Manual reconciliation menu on the left.
        7. Enter the Username of the PSA RMI portal and click Proceed.
        8. If the user’s name exists in PSA systems, you will receive an email from noreply-ti@stellantis.com in the mailbox associated with the PSA RMI system user: you must confirm that you want to reconcile the two accounts within 24 hours, otherwise the reconciliation process will not be initiated.
    5. Request to de-register IO employee

ONLY the Legal Representative of the Company can request Stellantis support to delete a Company user.

User-related data is managed in compliance with GDPR and may remain in Stellantis systems for a certain period, in accordance with other applicable regulations.

The Request to de-register IO employee function requires the following steps:

      1. Register the IO as described in the various options for Use Case 1.1.
      2. Click on User Login (on the red sidebar at the top right) on the main screen.
      3. Click on Login.

      8. Indicate the Nickname of the user to be deleted and the reason for your request.
      9. The request will be handled as quickly as possible, depending on requests received from other users.
      10. If it is not possible to make the requested changes, you will receive a response explaining the reasons for the refusal.
    6. Login to Stellantis RMI system

To be able to log in, the user must be properly registered.

User registration can only be considered complete if, at the end of the process, the user clicks on the link received via email, as described at the end of the registration process.

The function Login to Stellantis RMI system requires the following steps:

      1. Register the IO as described in the various options for:
        • Use Case 1.1, if it concerns the Legal Representative of the Company.
        • Use Case 1.2, otherwise.
      2. Click on User Login (on the red sidebar at the top right) on the main screen.
      3. Click on Login.
      4. Enter your credentials (Nickname and password).
    7. Grant access to security-related RMI

Several regulations in different regions of the world define the specific requirements for accessing safety-related information or SERMI (SEcurity RMI).

Currently, the regions are divided as follows:

      1. Countries applying the SERMI scheme

The nations where the SERMI scheme is currently active are: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, and Sweden.
On 1 April 2026, the activation of the SERMI process is planned, on a voluntary basis, also in the United Kingdom. Stellantis will therefore extend the scheme starting from that date.

The SERMI scheme provides for the distribution of electronic certificates through an APP managed by the Trust Center defined at the European level, which is currently provided by the company Digidentity B.V.
These certificates can be obtained after passing an audit by a Conformity Assessment Body (CAB).

Access to security-related RMI is granted only to users who hold a valid and active certificate, via the Digidentity APP.
Stellantis limits access only to certain integrated diagnostic functions that are directly related to components protecting the vehicle against theft risk.

The function Grant access to security-related RMI requires the following steps:

        5. Click on Check SERMI validity in the Services menu at the top of the main screen. This function is inhibited for any user awaiting validation and could be inhibited for an employee of the IO, depending on the permissions provided by their Legal Representative.
        6. Click on the SERMI logo on the right.
        7. Use the Digidentity APP on your mobile phone to scan the QR Code that will appear.
        8. Enter the PIN when requested.
        9. The APP will notify you if the certificate is no longer valid or active.
        10. Otherwise, you will be able to perform security-related (SERMI) operations in the various Stellantis applications for the duration of the session.

The logic of digital certificates is to verify in real time that the user is authorized to perform sensitive operations: for this reason, it is necessary to perform SERMI Validation in every session where these operations are planned.

      2. Australia

Australian privacy regulations do not allow Stellantis Europe to verify documents containing sensitive data.
Stellantis has therefore defined a manual process that requires verification by Australian entities (AASRA) to obtain access.

Stellantis limits access only to certain integrated diagnostic functions that are directly related to components protecting the vehicle against theft risk.

The function Grant access to security-related RMI requires the following steps:

        5. Click on Maintain OI/user status in the personal menu (after opening the red sidebar at the top right on the main screen).
        6. Click on Edit at the top right.
        7. Click on the upward arrow next to (far right) the Company data text.
        8. Click on the downward arrow next to (far right) the Security RMI text.
        9. Request to be enabled for access to Security-related RMI.
        10. Click the Save button.
        11. Upon verification by AASRA, you will be granted access for a period of 6 months.

When accessing diagnostics, the portal will ask whether any action occurred after the request that invalidates the uploaded documentation. A positive answer (which implies revocation of the authorization) is pre-selected, to force the user to declare that nothing has changed. In this way, access is possible only after the user’s explicit declaration.

      3. Rest of world

Several countries have not defined any scheme for accessing Security-related RMI.
For these countries, Stellantis has established a manual process that still allows requesting and obtaining access.

Stellantis limits access only to certain integrated diagnostic functions that are directly related to components protecting the vehicle against theft risk.

The function Grant access to security-related RMI requires the following steps:

        9. To request to be enabled for access to Security-related RMI, attach a PDF file containing the Criminal Record Certificate (or equivalent), to prove you have no prior offenses in the automotive field.
        10. Click the Save button.
        11. Following verification of the attached documentation, if successful, a validity date for the documentation will be assigned (if not already present). The maximum allowable period is 24 months from the date of issuance of the documentation.
